The Secret Warriors are officially coming to "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.". As hinted in the season 2 finale, the show will introduce new friends and foes inspired by the critically acclaimed Secret Warriors comic series in the upcoming season 3.

The Secret Warriors are brought into the fold as Coulson (Clark Gregg) searches the world for other powered people in the wake of the war with Jiaying and the Inhumans. However, it will soon become apparent that Coulson won't be the only one tracking down these new Inhumans.

The Secret Warriors' arrival was teased in the second season finale when Coulson assigned Skye (Chloe Bennet) to track down more super-powered people. Previously, executive producer Jeffrey Bell said of the possible appearance of the Secret Warriors, "There is the Secret Warriors and Daisy Johnson does run a team for Fury of powered people that is secret and off the grid - people who are not on the Index or anything like that. The fact that we have a character named Daisy who is talking to Coulson about filling that role is a nod in that direction."

"Some people will be excited and some people will be a little intimidated or threatened," EP Jeffrey Bell told EW about Skye leading the group of extraordinary people. He went on teasing, "Any time a person grows or steps out of the role that they're perceived to be a part of, it's a problem. What happens when the student reaches the level of master or teacher? There's a lot of good fodder for us next season with that."

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns Tuesday, September 29 at 9 P.M. on ABC.
