Bart Simpson Reacts to Reports of His Parents Marge and Homer's Breakup

The only son of Marge and Homer Simpson recreates his infamous chalkboard gag in response to his parents' reported breakup.

AceShowbiz - Bart Simpson weighs in on the reports suggesting that his mother Marge Simpson and father Homer Simpson are calling it quits in the next season of "The Simpsons". The eldest child and only son of the TV couple tells fans not to worry about his parents' marriage.

Producer Al Jean previously told Variety, "In the premiere, it's discovered after all the years Homer has narcolepsy and it's an incredible strain on the marriage. Homer and Marge legally separate, and Homer falls in love with his pharmacist, who's voiced by Lena Dunham."

Soon after the news made headlines, the FOX animated series posted on Twitter a picture of Bart writing "Homer and Marge are not breaking up" on the school chalkboard, which is a nod to the character's gags during the opening credits of many episodes.

"RT and stop the rumors! #TheSimpsons," so read the caption. Producer Al Jean also retweeted the photo. The posting was then followed by another message on the show's Twitter account, "Marge and Homer forever! #TheSimpsons," in Spanish.

Jean additionally wrote, "#EverySimpsonsEver I DIDN'T SAY Homer and Marge are breaking up I said they are BIGGER THAN JESUS." To a fan who asked if he was misquoted or changed his mind due to backlash, the producer replied, "What I said is correct/was completely misinterpreted as you will see 9/27 How accurate are they on important things?"

Marge and Homer have split before but they usually got back together.
