The country-turned-pop superstar transforms the hit single off her 2012 album 'Red' into a rock tune for the crowd at her '1989' tour kick-off in Tokyo, Japan.

AceShowbiz - After going pop on her newest album "1989", former country star Taylor Swift went rock while performing a song at her concert earlier this week. As she began her "1989" world tour with a two-night show in Tokyo, Japan, the singer transformed her "Red" hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" into a rock song for the crowd packing the Tokyo Dome.

Clad in a black top and matching leather pants, Swift played her guitar while leading a massive sing-along to her song on the red-lit stage. The 25-year-old entertainer's backing band supported her with heavier guitar, bass and drums.

Swift's "1989" tour continues on May 20 with a show in Bossier City. She'll bring the tour to other cities across the U.S. before opening the European leg on June 19. She's returning to North America in early July.

Joining her on the road are Canadian heartthrob Shawn Mendes and Australian singer/songwriter Vance Joy. The sisters of HAIM are supporting several U.S. dates.
