Kim Richards was arrested on early Thursday morning, April 16. The TV personality was hit with multiple charges including public intoxication, trespassing, resisting arrest and battery on a police officer following an incident at Beverly Hills Hotel.

Lt. Lincoln Hoshino, a spokesman for the Beverly Hills Police Department, said that police arrived at the hotel restaurant at 1:30 A.M. after receiving a report from security there. The security claimed that a female who was later recognized as the former child actress freaked out and caused "a disturbance."

The hotel security had repeatedly asked Richards to leave the venue but she refused. When she was being escorted out of the property, Richards asked to use the bathroom and stayed inside. The security then made "a private persons arrest" before police officers entered the restroom and arrested her at 2:04 A.M.

"Ms. Richards was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication, including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior," Hoshino explained. "[She was] was cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest. After being transported to the station for booking, Richards kicked one of the officers in the leg, however the officer was not injured." Richards was then released at about 10:35 A.M. but she was obliged to appear in court on May 10.

Following the arrest news, some of her co-stars on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" expressed their support to Richards on social media. "Kim, love having you as a BFF," Brandi Glanville wrote in a blog for Bravo on Thursday. "I'm always here for you, and I hope you are always here for me. You are a strong chica, and I know your family is better for it. You are hilarious, and I love our funny talks and text-offs. Laughter is the best medicine. I heart you."

Other support came from Eileen Davidson. "I feel badly for Kim Richards and her family my thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time," so she tweeted on Thursday afternoon.
