The movie mogul will not be charged for misdemeanor after Italian model Ambra Battilana accused him of groping her in March.

AceShowbiz - Harvey Weinstein will not be charged after an Italian model, Ambra Battilana, accused him of groping her last month. On Friday, April 10, spokeswoman for Manhattan district attorney Joan Vollero said, "This case was taken seriously from the outset, with a thorough investigation conducted by our sex crimes unit." She added, "After analyzing the available evidence, including multiple interviews with both parties, a criminal charge is not supported."

The alleged groping incident happened when Weinstein was with Battilana to discuss a lingerie shoot audition in his office at New York City's Tribeca Film Center. The movie mogul faced possible misdemeanor charges after Battilana accused him of grabbing her breasts and hips. According to Battilana, he also slipped his hand under her skirt. After the "business meeting," Battilana called a friend and went to the police later that night to report the incident.

Battilana was reported to have a sexual relationship with a 70-year-old man in her hometown. But she lied to investigators about it while the man, who is identified only as Mr. G., admitted that he had a consensual relationship with Battilana.
