TV

The remaining stars celebrate their most memorable year with their dances in the latest episode of the competition series.

AceShowbiz - "Dancing with the Stars" contestants got emotional in the Monday, April 6 episode as they reflected their most memorable year in their dances. Meanwhile, the results of last week's performances were announced in between the dances before the eliminated team was announced at the end of the show.

Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough were safe and danced first that night. They performed the Argentine Tango as she remembered the time she won a gold medal at the Summer Olympics in Beijing. Len Goodman said it was "fantastic" although "lacked the character of the dance," but Carrie Ann Inaba disagreed and called it "incredible, fantastic for week four." Nastia scored 36 out of 40 points.

Michael Sam and Peta Murgatroyd showed up next, dancing the rumba as he recalled the time he came out as gay in 2014 and how his father denounced him after he went public with his sexuality. His powerful routine earned mostly positive reviews from the judges, as Julianne Hough and Carrie Ann called it "beautiful." He earned 30 points.

Riker Lynch's most memorable year is also 2014, when his band R5 became famous. He and Allison Holker danced the Tango to "Shut Up and Dance". Bruno Tonioli said the "music was so hard to interpret as a Tango but you did well." Carrie Ann liked that he followed her advice, but said that the "chemistry was off." Julianne told him to focus on his frame. The singer/actor earned 34 points.

Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson paid tribute to his late mother, who died of ovarian cancer in 2006, with their Waltz. The judges agreed it was beautiful, with Len calling it Robert's best dance. The judges gave him 34 points.

Last year was also special for Chris Soules, who found his love on "The Bachelor". He and Witney Carson danced a romantic and sensual Rumba, but Len thought it "wasn't that great." Julianne said he "improved every week," but there was no connection between Chris and his pro partner. The Iowa farmer earned 27 points.

Next, it's time for Patti LaBelle and Artem Chigvintsev to perform the Jazz. She danced to celebrate the year her son was born (1973). The judges loved it, with Bruno and Carrie Ann calling it "hot." The soul singer earned 30 points.

Rumer Willis picked 2014 as her favorite year because she overcame the tabloid bullying. She and Valentin Chmerkovskiy danced the Waltz that was deemed "beautiful, powerful and unique" by Bruno. Len said it was "a great dance" although it was more Contemporary than Waltz. Rumer earned 35 points.

For Suzanne Somers, 1975 was a special year because she got the role on "Three's Company". She and Tony Dovolani danced the Foxtrot and she dedicated it to her co-star John Ritter. Julianne said, "I like the content, work on your upper body though," while Bruno warned her about her neck. The TV actress earned 28 points.

Willow Shields and Mark Ballas danced the Contemporary with "The Hunger Games" theme to celebrate the year she landed a part in the movie. "You are fierce and fearless," Bruno raved, as Carrie Ann added, "Bravo, that was difficult, everything about that was great, I am blown away by you." Willow earned 39 points.

Noah Galloway lost a tooth after his partner Sharna Burgess accidentally kicked him in the mouth during rehearsal. They also danced a Contemporary to remember 2005, the year he lost his arm and leg. Bruno praised his spirit, and Len urged everyone to give the army vet a standing ovation. He earned 32 points.

After all pairs danced, it was revealed that Michael Sam and Peta Murgatroyd were eliminated this week. "It was an awesome experience," he said, before thanking his partner.

In related news, it has been reported that "DWTS" pros are going to hit the road for "Dancing With the Stars: Live! Perfect Ten Tour" from June through August. All-Stars champion Melissa Rycroft will headline the tour along with Witney Carson, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Artem Chigvintsev, Peta Murgatroyd and Emma Slater.
