Production partners of MTV series "The Osbournes" are involved in tense legal battles these days over the rights to the reality series. In the wake of the lawsuit that Jack Osbourne filed on Monday, March 30, production company JOKS filed legal papers in California federal on Wednesday, April 1 against Schweet Entertainment.

Claiming they are the exclusive owner of interest in the show, JOKS alleged in the legal papers, "JOKS' idea to and interest in producing new episodes of 'The Osbournes' for television broadcast pre-dated Jack Osbourne's involvement in Schweet, and was conceived completely independently of Schweet." The complaint furthermore stated, "Contrary to Defendants' contentions, JOKS never entered into any agreement, express or implied, related to the Defendants' involvement in the production of new episodes of 'The Osbournes' and never conveyed to Defendants any interest in 'The Osbournes' and/or the copyrights and trademarks associated therewith."

On Jack's side, he filed legal papers earlier this week, seeking to dissolve other companies he runs with partners Rob Worsoff and Brian Wendel. In each of his four separate lawsuits, he made similar allegations that his partners overpaid themselves and diverted business opportunities.

The threesome, Osbourne, Worsoff, and Wendel, previously executive produced the U.S. TV series "Alpha Dogs", documenting the training of police dogs. They produced the series via Schweet Dogs back in 2013 for the National Geographic channel.
