According to a new report, the exciting team-up spin-off will feature three superheroes which have not been featured on TV series.

AceShowbiz - An "Arrow" and "The Flash" team-up is in development on The CW. According to a Thursday, February 26 report from Deadline, the network is planning a spin-off featuring DC Comics characters. They additionally mentioned "the new project will include three major DC Comics characters who have never appeared in a TV series."

Brandon Routh, Victor Garber and Wentworth Miller are expected to play Ray Palmer/The Atom, Martin Stein/Firestorm and Leonard Snart/Captain Cold respectively. Caity Lotz, who plays Sarah Lance on "Arrow", is also mentioned as a potential cast member. However, her upcoming role is unclear because her character was previously killed off in the series.

Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, Marc Guggenheim and Sarah Schechter will serve as executive producers. The project currently has no title and is still in early development, so there is a possibility that other characters from "Arrow" and "The Flash" will make appearances.

Back in January, The CW president Mark Pedowit hinted at the project during the TCA. It apparently could go straight to series for mid-season next year.
