AceShowbiz - %cKirstie Alley% shared her latest experience of losing 50 pounds on "Today" show with host %cMatt Lauer% Monday morning, January 5. When she rejoined weight management and nutrition company Jenny Craig back in April 2014, she made a resolution to lose 30 pounds, but she rang in 2015 with additional 20 pounds off her.
Previously, the "Baby Sellers" actress was going up-and-down in losing and gaining weight, but she told Lauer, "This time it's different." She explained that she wouldn't go in the "roller-coaster" she had in the past. "My goal is to keep this and maintain this throughout my life... I feel like I've conquered that now. I'm sort of hardheaded. You know, when I used to do drugs, it took me a while to quit, quit, quit - and then it was done. And I feel like that's occurred for me," she declared.
The 63-year-old actress didn't seem to think that her figure would overshadow her acting career. Alley revealed that the attention to her weight gave her encouragement instead. "I really want to do more acting and I want to do more movies ...and I thought, 'How do I want to see myself on film?' And I like to see myself looking more svelte," she told Lauer.
Alley became a Jenny Craig spokesperson in 2004 and lost 75 pounds to 145 pounds, but after she left in 2007, the struggle seemed to rise once again. In 2011, she came back with an amazing loss of 100 pounds after participating on TV show "Dancing with the Stars" and undergoing her personal Organic Liaison weight-loss plan. She furthermore decided to reach out to Jenny Craig once more and rejoined the company in 2014.
