A Wisconsin judge has ruled that the 'Saved by the Bell' actor must stand trial for stabbing a man during a bar fight on Christmas Day.

AceShowbiz - Dustin Diamond appeared in Ozaukee County Circuit Court on Monday, January 5 for a preliminary hearing on charges stemming from a bar stabbing. Dustin was ordered by a Wisconsin judge to stand trial for stabbing a man during a bar fight on Christmas Day.

Ozaukee County Judge Paul Malloy said that there's enough evidence for Dustin's case to continue after hearing a testimony from a police officer. According to Journal Sentinel, officer Ryan Hurda said that the "Saved by the Bell" actor was not carrying a switchblade but rather an ordinary pocket knife.

Dustin was arrested on Friday, December 26. According to a criminal complaint, Dustin and his fiancee Amanda Schutz got into a tussle with two men and another woman at the Grand Avenue Saloon in Port Washington on Thursday night. The actor admitted he stabbed a man while defending his fiancee.

Dustin was then charged with felony second-degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon. Amanda was also charged with disorderly conduct but she was released soon after. Dustin was released on December 29 after posting a $10,000 bail.

If convicted of reckless endangerment charge, Dustin may face up to five years in prison and five years of extended supervision.
