AceShowbiz - "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" apparently has some names to add more kick-ass feels to the movie. According to Twitchfilm, "The Raid 2: Berandal" star %cIko Uwais% who is known for his martial arts skills is joining the J.J. Abrams-directed space adventure alongside his two "Raid 2" co-stars %cYayan Ruhian% and %cCecep Arif Rahman%.
So far, there is no info regarding the trio's roles in the movie, whether they play the good guys, the villains or being stunt doubles. It is also not immediately known whether they provide motion capture for the movie. According to Deadline, Disney as well as representatives for Uwais and Ruhian declined to comment on the casting.
Uwais rose to fame after appearing in Gareth Evans-directed movie "The Raid" as a police officer named Rama. Ruhian played Mad Dog in "The Raid" and is also featured in the next installment as a different character.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" finished its principal photography late last year. The highly-anticipated movie will see %cHarrison Ford%, %cMark Hamill% and %cCarrie Fisher% reprising their roles as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia respectively. In addition to the familiar faces, %cJohn Boyega%, %cAdam Driver%, %cOscar Isaac%, %cDaisy Ridley% and %cAndy Serkis% are set to make appearances. The movie hits U.S. theaters on December 18.
