It seems that the honeymoon phase is over for Mitch and Cam, while Gloria stuns Jay with her messy look.

AceShowbiz - ABC has released the first promo for "Modern Family" season 6, teasing a chaotic situtation in the Dunphys' house. Phil uses a fire extinguisher in their kitchen possibly due to a failed cooking attempt, but the device goes out of control.
Meanwhile, newlyweds Mitch and Cam are apparently no longer in the honeymoon phase. Mitch looks unhappy as he throws flowers into a garbage can and tries to get rid of bubbles from their bathtub.
Jay and Gloria have their own issue which seemingly has something to do with physical appearance. Jay sports over-sized new glasses and later is stunned when Gloria is set to go out with her messy look.
The Emmy-winning comedy returns with the new season Wednesday, September 24 at 9/8c on ABC. The synopsis for the first episode "The Long Honeymoon" reads, "This summer has been exceptionally blissful in the Dunphy house, Alex is away on a humanitarian trip and the rest of the family is getting along swimmingly, but when Alex comes home, there is an immediate shift in mood."
"Elsewhere, Mitch and Cam have returned from their honeymoon and Mitch is acclimating to real life much quicker than the still lovey-dovey Cameron. And, Gloria has taken issue with how little effort Jay puts into his appearance and decides to give him a taste of his own medicine."
The show recently cast Steve Zahn in a recurring role of Ronnie, the husband of an annoying family that moves in next door to the Dunphys.
