Weezer has debuted "Back to the Shack" which serves as the first official offering from their upcoming album "Everything Will Be Alright in the End". Hitting the web on Monday, July 21, the song was first played by the band during their Weezer Cruise back in February.

The track opens with vocalist Rivers Cuomo apologizing for Weezer's latest albums, singing, "Sorry guys I didn't realize that I needed you so much/ I thought I'd get a new audience, I forgot that disco sucks/ I ended up with nobody and I started feeling dumb." Cuomo also name checks drummer Pat Wilson and adds that they want to "[rock] out like it's '94."

"Back to the Shack" is now available on iTunes. Weezer is scheduled to play the song live during the July 23 episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon".

"Everything Will Be Alright in the End", meanwhile, is scheduled to be released on September 30 via Republic Records. It was produced by Ric Ocasek who previously worked with the band for their 1994's "Weezer (Blue Album)" and 2001's "Weezer (Green Album)".

Wilson recently revealed what to expect from the new LP, telling Entertainment Weekly, "If you took the 'Pinkerton' band and then play all the other records - that's what we sound like now. Bombastic, loose, kind of booming. This record sounds like it's going to have the tight structure of 'Blue Album' with a little bit more abandon like 'Pinkerton'."
