CBS has released a new promo for its summer series "Extant", this time with an actual footage from the show. The short clip gives first look at Halle Berry as a female astronaut, Molly Watts, in a spaceship as she's sent on a 13-month solo mission.
It appears that she witnesses something creepy during the mission and won't return to Earth alone. The video also shares a glimpse of an ultrasound fetus image and Molly's family without further detailing the storyline.
From executive producer Steven Spielberg, "Extant" is described as a mystery thriller about a female astronaut trying to reconnect with her family when she returns after a year in outer space. Her experiences lead to events that ultimately will change the course of human history.
Camryn Manheim, Pierce Gagnon, Hiroyuki Sanada, Goran Visnjic, Michael O'Neill and Grace Gummer join the cast of the drama series written by Spielberg, Greg Walker and Mickey Fisher. It is set to premiere Wednesday, July 9 at 9 P.M. on CBS.
