Fiona apologizes to her devotees for her recent drug arrest, and dismisses her previous statement suggesting the cops did something illegal during her arrest.

Fiona Apple apologized to her fans for her drug arrest. "I'm really, really sorry that all the work that we did is being overshadowed by all this bulls***," she told the crowd in a New Orleans concert which was part of a promo tour for her first new album in seven years, "The Idler Wheel...".
She also clarified her previous comment hinting that the cops who arrested her may have done something "illegal" when they detained her. "Also, there are no f***ing lock boxes. I didn't make up a code," she said. "It was my way of drawing a parallel between the self. I am not that f***ed up."
Fiona was busted for hashish and marijuana possession in Texas on September 19. In her first post-arrest concert, she ranted about becoming a victim to an alleged illegal police activity. She said she had "two lock boxes" in her mind, one to store the information and the other to encode it.
"I heard everything you did, I wrote it all down with your names and everything you did and said, stupidly thinking that I couldn't hear or see you," she slammed the cops on stage. "Unless you're interested in being a celebrity, I'll make you f***ing famous any time you ask."
Rusty Fleming, a rep of Hudspeth County Sheriff's Dept., fired back. He said, "First- Honey, I'm already more famous than you, I don't need your help. However, it would appear that you need mine. Two weeks ago nobody in the country cared about what you had to say. Now that you've been arrested it appears your entire career has been jump started. Don't worry, Sweetie, I won't bill you."
