When "True Blood" returns with a new episode, there's a panic situation in the Vampire Authority headquarters after [SPOILER ALERT!] Russell Edgington killed Roman. The former King of Mississippi is seen pinning down Eric in a clip as a security squad enters the room. Meanwhile, Nora keeps chanting for Lilith while she burns.
In another snippet, Sam uses his sniffing skill to find some stuff that may help to locate the shooters, ignoring a female deputy who becomes suspicious about his method. Sookie is highlighted in the other clip as she meets another girl who has the same ability as hers.
The new episode of "True Blood" will air Sunday, July 22 at 9 P.M. on HBO. In it, Salome shows where her true allegiances lie, Sookie considers life without faerie powers, Hoyt finds a new group of friends, Alcide prepares for a fight, and Lafayette searches for Jesus' body.
Talking about his character's fate on the show, Christopher Meloni recently said, "That is true. For the time being, he's dead. I think that was my swan song." Asked why Roman was killed off that early while he was billed as a series regular, the actor jokingly said, "I think what happened was they got sick of me complaining about the glazed donuts at the craft services table so they decided to off me," before adding, "We had always decided that this was the way to go."
