In addition to several 'Lost' references in the pilot of 'Once', the canceled show's creator Damon Lindelof is credited for being godfather of the new series.

"Lost" is somehow running in the vein of "Once Upon a Time". Promoting the new series at the ABC panel on Sunday, August 7 during at the Television Critics Association press tour, creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz talked how the departed sci-fi series and its creator Damon Lindelof influence the upcoming fairytale-themed show.

"Damon has been a godfather for us," said Kitsis who previously also served as executive producer on "Lost". "His name is not on ('Once Upon a Time'), but his DNA is in it, helping us kind of realize our vision of the show. He wants it to be our own show, but he helps when he can and sometimes he gives us tough love."

The creators went on revealing that "Once" pilot will include several visual references to "Lost", including a door labeled No. 108 and a reference to Oceanic Flight 815. "There's actually two more 'Lost' references in the pilot," Kitsis chimed in. "One is the Geronimo Jackson sticker on the back of Emma's car and the other is the eye, the close on the eye."

Starring Jennifer Morrison and Ginnifer Goodwin among others, "Once Upon a Time" is a story about 10-year-old Henry who believes that his mother Emma (Morrison) is Prince Charming (Joshua Dallas) and Snow White's (Goodwin) missing daughter. It will premiere Sunday, October 23 at 8:00 P.M. on ABC.

"Once Upon a Time" stars at Disney ABC Television Group's Summer Press Tour:
