A representative of teenage superstar Justin Bieber, has recently confirmed at Gossip Cop that the issue about the "Baby" hitmaker pleaded to play Oliver Twist in a remake of British classic film "Oliver!" was totally made up. On Monday, March 21, The Sun had released a headline "Come on Bieber - Let's Do the Twist" which told how the Canadian heartthrob was desperate to win the certain role. But soon the spokesman of Usher protege's slams the swirling gossip, saying that the rumor is "fake".
In the previous news, Bieber reportedly reckoned his difficult childhood would help him fit the role better. But in fact, the 17-year-old pop idol merely thinks that his infancy catastrophes in Canada was a good training for Charles Dickens' famous street urchin character.
The Sun also stated, "It's a bold move by the singer", which refers to numerous failed attempts to bring the "Oliver Twist" to life on the big and small screens, since Mark Lester played the role in 1968. The tabloid said as well, "But Justin has a better chance than most." They added, "His army of fans would make the project a near-guaranteed success".
The rep says, "We have no doubt Bieber's fans would provide a huge boost to any project he might do, consider the massive success of his movie debut 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never'." The spokesperson continues, "But the premise that he wants to play Twist (who happens to be several years younger than Bieber) is completely made up".
