Revealing about their album's working progress, Pearl Jam's guitarist Mike McCready said that they are still working on five songs at the moment but hoping that it can be released this year. "It's really in its infant stages right now. We have about five ideas that have been worked on," said Mike to Rolling Stone.com.

But apparently their new album's process will be halted during June because of their tour schedule. The band will be touring in the east coast from June 11 to 30. They might start to work on their album again in July.

The latest album that Pearl Jam released before working on their upcoming album was a self-titled album which has been dropped on May 2, 2006. The album received a warm welcome after debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart and selling about 279,564 on its first week alone.
