The Rolling Stones' ban from the seaside town in England has been lifted 44 years after the riot occuring during their show.

Blackpool, an English seaside town in England has decided to put the hard feeling towards The Rolling Stones in the past. The town has decided to allow the rock band to perform there again for the first time in 44 years.
The Stones were banned from the town in 1964 after one of their concerts at the Empress Ballroom ended in riots whereby 50 people were taken to hospital. A number of crazed fans tore up seats, threw bottles, and vandalized a number of properties at the venue that the officials decided that the band should not play in the area again. Allegedly, the riot began after one of the audience spat at guitarist Brian Jones.
However, the city council announced on Thursday, March 27 that the band are welcomed to entertain the crowd there once again. "If they forgive us, we will forgive them," council leader Peter Callow told Reuters. "The ban has been officially lifted and I would love to see them play again at Blackpool. Nothing would give me more satisfaction."
No comment from the band yet regarding the lifting of the ban.
