Serena Williams is off the market. The tennis stud reportedly has had a new man in her life who happens to be hip-hop star Common.

The duo, who come from a very different mainstream of interests, were spotted holding hands and getting "very close" at a party hosted for her sister Venus Williams at popular New York nightclub Tenjune last week, thus prompted speculation they are dating.

A partygoer at the hotspot tells the New York Post's PageSix, "They were very friendly, arm-in-arm. All night they were sitting together. You could tell Common likes Serena. I asked a friend of his and was told they are dating."

Serena, who's widely known as an American former World No. 1 ranked female tennis player who has won eight Grand Slam singles titles and an Olympic gold medal in women's doubles, previously dated film director Brett Ratner. She ended their relationship in August 2005 because she just couldn't stand the fact that Ratner had always been away from her due to his job.

No words issued by the tennis star nor the hip hip icon concerning the dating issue, so we better not jump to conclusion just yet.
