Long been presumed to be the possible star for playing the titular superhero in "The Flash" which he recently assured to still be happening, Ryan Reynolds turns out to have another character in mind he favors more than the Scarlet Speedster.

"I’ve always wanted to do 'Deadpool,'" he enthused in an interview with MTV. "I think I would forgo anything to play it in some incarnation."

Though so, the actor did aware that the character, an alter ego of the volunteer for the second Weapon X program Wade Wilson, possesses just about every noncommercial aspect of superheroes that a movie about this anti-hero cannot be done properly without a hard-R rating.

"It’s a very tricky character to do," Reynolds commented. "It’s hard R. It’s ambiguous whether he’s good or bad."

"These are huge issues," he continued. "Hopefully, there’ll be [somebody] who has the balls to go there and make a really authentic, decent 'Deadpool' movie."

Reynolds, a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, is known for his comedic roles as seen in "Van Wilder", "Waiting...", and "Just Friends" though he also took part in other genres of movies like "Blade: Trinity" and the most recent one, "Smokin' Aces." Since 2004, his name has been orbiting as the potential male lead in "The Flash" after David S. Goyer, who at that time was attached to both pen and helm the flick, expressed his interest to have him for the role.
