In a remote mountain cabin, a reclusive and struggling writer, Paul, portrayed by Antonio Banderas, finds his creative isolation shattered by the arrival of a mysterious drifter named Jack, played by Jonathan Rhys-Meyers. Offering a hand in exchange for shelter, Jack’s intense and unpredictable presence initially sparks a tense camaraderie, but soon begins to warp the atmosphere with a palpable sense of danger. As a storm cuts them off from the outside world, Paul’s reality starts to fracture, blurring the lines between guest and captor, inspiration and menace. With Piper Perabo appearing as a local waitress who becomes an unwitting part of their claustrophobic drama, this psychological thriller from director Brian Goodman masterfully builds an atmosphere of paranoia and suspense. Trapped in a deadly game of cat and mouse, Paul must navigate a labyrinth of deception and violence, where every revelation twists the narrative closer to a shocking and inescapable truth.
