In the gripping thriller Ashes, a man's desperate quest to reclaim his past hurtles him into a dangerous present. Jim Sturgess stars as James, a man released from prison with his memory in fragments, who becomes convinced his late father, a charismatic criminal played by Ray Winstone, left a hidden fortune. His obsessive search strains his relationship with his weary mother, portrayed by Lesley Manville, and his concerned girlfriend, played by Jodie Whittaker. As James follows cryptic clues with the help of a volatile old associate, Luke Evans, he is pursued by shadowy figures from his father's world who will stop at nothing to find the treasure first.
