The Kansas City Chiefs tight end casts doubt on whether his pop star girlfriend will make it in time for the big game following her Tokyo concert the night before.

AceShowbiz - Even Travis Kelce cannot guarantee Taylor Swift's presence at the Super Bowl LVIII. While he definitely can make use of her support at the game, the NFL star seems unsure if his girlfriend will "make it" to the Kansas City Chiefs' face-off against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, February 11 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The tight end cast doubt on the pop superstar's Super Bowl attendance during a press conference ahead of the big game. Asked whether or not the singer/songwriter has given him a Super Bowl "pep talk," he responded with a laugh that she hasn't.

The 34-year-old athlete explained that Taylor's focus is on her "Eras Tour", which kicked off the Asian trek in Tokyo, Japan on Wednesday, February 7. "She's just working on entertaining them, making sure she's ready for her performances and everything," he said, before addressing the elephant in the room, "but the Super Bowl, we'll worry about if she can make it."

Page Six previously reported that Taylor is expected to attend the Super Bowl though it means she has to take "a brutal flight" right after her fourth show in Tokyo on February 10. "It's a brutal flight," a source told the site of the 13-hour trek, "but she'll get on her plane right after the concert."

Later, Japanese embassy assured that the Grammy winner would be able to attend the big game in Las Vegas if she catches a flight right after her concert. "The Embassy of Japan in the United States is aware of recent media reports concerning the steps Taylor Swift will need to take to travel from Tokyo after her concert on February 10th to Las Vegas in time to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play in Super Bowl LVIII," the embassy in Washington D.C. said in a statement issued earlier this month.

They continued, "Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins."

"We know that many people in Japan are excited to experience Taylor Swift's Eras Tour," the embassy added, "so we wanted to confirm that anyone concerned can be Fearless in knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas to support the Chiefs when they take the field for the Super Bowl wearing Red."
