AceShowbiz - Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner delivered at the 2024 Met Gala. The Jenner sisters were among the A-listers who were invited to the prestigious invite-only event, which took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 6.
For the annual bash, Kendall made a breathtaking entrance in a vintage gown by Givenchy that featured scalloped butt cutout and high-neck line with stunning beaded details all over. The supermodel broke the record by becoming the first-ever person to wear one of Alexander McQueen's fall 1999 looks for Givenchy haute couture.
Kendall took this year's theme, "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion", in a rather literal sense as she noted that the dress was "beauty that's been slept on." She added to Vogue, "It's been sleeping for the last 25 years. It's literally a 'sleeping beauty.' It's such a special moment. I feel extremely honored that they're allowing me to wear it."
As for Kylie, the cosmetics mogul hit the red carpet in a champagne-hued Oscar de la Renta evening gown. Inspired by Cecil Beaton's photography, the 26-year-old's strapless column dress featured a pointed bust and an attached train.
While people might wonder where the mom of two incorporated this year's dress code, "The Garden of Time", "The Kardashians" star subtly gave a nod to it by tucking a blush-colored rose into her curly updo. Completing her look, Kylie, who attended the event solo without boyfriend Timothee Chalamet, sported a 30-carat yellow diamond ring by Lorraine Schwartz.
Kendall and Kylie's mom Kris Jenner also served looks at this year's Met Gala. The momager was twinning with her boyfriend Corey Gamble in monochromatic looks.
The 68-year-old arrived at the big event in a white satin gown and overcoat designed by Oscar de la Renta. Wearing eye-catching emerald rings and earrings from Lorraine Schwartz and Manolo Blahnik shoes, Kris honored the theme with embroidered flowers at the top of her dress that ran down her back.
As for his date, Corey sported an all-white suit. He completed his look with a cross necklace, several rings and sunglasses.
The trio wasn't the only Kardashian-Jenner family members who were present at the 2024 Met Gala. Kim Kardashian also brought her high fashion to the charity event, wearing a custom dress created by John Galliano for Maison Margiela. The dress, which accentuated her snatching waist, featured silver floral embellishments across a corset, sheer skirt as well as fuzzy gray sweater.
