AceShowbiz - Shakira has given herself a makeover. The "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" singer bid goodbye to her long blond locks on Tuesday, December 6, and didn't waste time to debut her new shorter do by posting a photo of herself sporting a shoulder-length bob on her Twitter account.
Along with the picture, the 34-year-old Columbian singer shared, "4 hours ago I got my hair cut!" Photographers on the scene, however, claimed that she spent more than six hours inside the Jordi Ripoll salon in Barcelona, Spain to get the hair cut. Afterward, she allegedly headed directly to the apartment of her soccer player boyfriend, Gerard Pique.
Shakira isn't the only female celebrity chopping off her long locks this year. Katy Perry debuted a straight bob with just a hint of pink when coming to the 3rd Annual Change Begins Within Benefit Celebration in early December. Months before that, in mid-May, Dianna Agron shared a look at her new chopped bob on her Tumblr blog.
