Ariel (Mathew Baynton) wakes up, restrained in a hospital bed in an underground bunker. The sick old woman who has been giving orders to the mysterious couple reveals she is Ariel's grandmother and needs his blood to keep her alive. When she finds out his blood isn't free of disease, she goes to kill him. He tells her she has a granddaughter she never knew about, and he'll find her if she lets him live and guarantees him a spot in the bunker.
Much to Paula's frustration, Mary comes to stay with Jamie, but not for long. A mysterious shower of bricks pummels Mary, killing her instantly. Seeing a video of Mary's death, Jude (Rob Lowe) and Celine (Gaia Scodellaro) travel to Slough to tell Jamie Jude's his father. While in Jamie's house, Celine recognizes a picture of Layla and tells Jamie he has a daughter - the girl they met in Poland who can talk to spirits.
The U.S. Marshals are close on Rhonda's (Jenna Fischer) heels, but her brother, Scotty (Kyle Soller), leads them off her trail with a bogus 9-1-1 call. Gaines (Paterson Joseph) disassociates himself from Scotty to ensure the success of Mount Genesis.
