Synopsis

The McDonald’s Snack Wrap was the perfect middle ground between a “lighter” fast food option and the kind of late-night creation you’d expect after a Jay and Silent Bob movie marathon. Small, cheap, and ridiculously addictive, it quickly became one of the most beloved items on the McDonald’s menu.

The original McDonald’s Snack Wrap packed big flavor into a soft flour tortilla: crisp lettuce, shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, your choice of sauces, and most importantly a juicy strip of chicken. That chicken came straight from the same legendary supply used for the fan-favorite McDonald’s Chicken Selects, which were hugely popular at the time.

So how did one of the most popular McDonald’s menu items end up disappearing from restaurants?
