Tori Vega, (Victoria Justice) gets a once in a lifetime opportunity when she is asked to attend the elite Hollywood Arts High School after filling in for her sister Trina on the night of the school's big showcase. On her first day, Tori meets Robbie, a boy who often speaks through his ventriloquist dummy and Cat, an eccentric girl who is easily upset. During acting class, mean girl, Jade pours coffee on Tori's head for flirting with Jade's boyfriend, Beck. When she decides she wants to leave, Tori's new friend, Andre and her sister, Trina convince her she shouldn't give up just because of Jade. On her second day, during a game of alphabet improv, Tori embarrasses Jade by messing her up and kissing Beck.
