Betty gets an invitation to meet Matt's famed billionaire dad, Calvin Hartley (guest star David Rasche), at his legendary Easter Egg Hunt. Daniel goes to extremes to meet Mr. Hartley, even dressing up in a pink bunny costume. People are whispering that little William might not be Wilhelmina's biological son.
While Daniel is still riding the bus to work, Betty gets a limo ride. Just a perk of dating a rich guy. Betty tells Matt, "With us so good, how could work be so bad." It's all part of her Grand Unified Theory of Happiness. But Betty might have spoke to soon. When she walks into MODE, people are repossessing furniture and passing out pink slips. Oh no - Amanda got a pink slip. She's replaced by a sign.
Betty gets a special delivery at work. They need her signature, ID and even thumb print. Daniel rushes over all excited. For years, he's been trying to score an "eggvitation" to the exclusive Hartley Charitable Foundation Easter Egg Hunt. Too bad the invitation is for Betty and her family. Daniel is so bummed.
Wilhelmina's baby photographer notices that little William looks nothing like her or even the Meades. When he sees Christina holding the baby, he tells Wilhelmina that she should get a blood test. Marc argues, "That baby can't be Christina's. It's medically impossible." He witnessed the implant procedure.
Betty admits to Matt that she's too nervous about meeting his dad especially after her run-in with his mother.
Betty suggests to Daniel that they get Matt's dad to invest in Meade, "He could save the company." Betty insists that Matt would be more than happy to set up a meeting but when she asks Matt he flatly says no.
Wilhelmina's doctor explains that it is in fact possible that Christina might have pregnant before the implant. Wilhelmina is scared, "Dear God. William might not be mine. Without little William's share of the company, I go back to being a paid employee." Marc is ordered to find out if Christina had sex before the implant.
Daniel goes overboard with a slick business proposal for Hartley. Betty doesn't have the heart to tell him that she couldn't get the meeting set up. How is she going to figure it all out?Matt shows up at MODE to apologize for flipping out when Betty asked him to set up a meeting with his Dad. Betty tries to keep Matt and Daniel from bumping into each other. Too late, they do. Daniel thanks Matt profusely for the meeting. Matt tells him that he never set up any meeting. Oops, Betty is caught in her lie.
After Marc suspicious questions, Christina realizes that William might actually be her baby. Christina confronts Wilhelmina, "I need to know whose baby this is and so do you." Yeah and so do we.
Betty tells Daniel she's going to get Daniel that meeting with Hartley even if she has to go behind Matt's back. Oh Betty, do you really think that's a good idea?
At the famed Easter Egg Hunt, Matt introduces his father to Betty whose knees are practically knocking. He tells her, "Anyone who can get under my wife's skin like that is OK in my book." Whew.
Matt catches Betty trying to sneak Daniel into the Egg Hunt. Matt looks hurt when he tells her, "You lied to me." Betty gives an impassioned plea that she and all her friends at MODE will lose their jobs if they don't get a big investor on board. Matt gives in and introduces Daniel to his father, but Matt is disappointed in Betty.
Daniel is pitching to Hartley when Hartley mentions that Floppy the Bunny flaked on them. "Seeing those kids smiling faces would put me in the mood to talk business." You have to see Daniel in the fluffy pink bunny suit. Hilarious! But we love the lengths he goes to save his company.
Hopefully, Hartley will go for the deal.
Matt accepts Betty's apology. He warns her that she may regret hooking up his father with Daniel. "You don't know where this could lead." Just then, Daniel hops by. Hartley's in and he's looking forward to being in the publishing business. MODE is safe!
The lab results are back. The baby belongs to...Wilhelmina?! Christina is shocked and upset. But are those lab results real???
