In the wake of Saperstein's death, Harlee confronts Wozniak, who admits he lied to her about his intentions - so the decision would be his alone. Baker pushes Stahl to get an admission of Wozniak's guilt from Harlee, but Harlee stonewalls Stahl. When he turns the conversation to Zepeda, Harlee learns something new: there was an eyewitness in Zepeda's case. Harlee takes this information to Wozniak, who already knows - he's been paying off the witness for years.
Meanwhile, Cristina seeks help from Wozniak and Tess for her boyfriend, Manny, who has been badly beaten by cops from another precinct. At first, Wozniak and Tess are skeptical of Manny's claim, but when Cristina shows video of the altercation, they take it to Harlee, who is most upset Cristina didn't come to her first. In an effort to prove he'd do anything for Harlee, Wozniak has the team organize a beat down of the abusive cops. Harlee lets Cristina know those cops will never bother anyone again, and although she's angry Cristina broke her rules, she thanks Manny for protecting her daughter.
When Chen mentions to Stahl that Nava is the ADA on Zepeda's case, Stahl makes a connection and approaches Nava, accusing him of improper involvement with Harlee. In response, Nava confronts Harlee, believing she is using him. Harlee goes straight to Stahl, demanding he stay out of her personal life, but when he brings up the Zepeda case, she breaks down and tells Stahl the truth: Zepeda is her abusive ex, and instead of pressing charges, Harlee framed him. Realizing Harlee acted to protect her daughter, Stahl promises to back off of Zepeda.
The crew gathers at the funeral home along with Saperstein's mother to view the body. When Harlee sees Wozniak offer Mrs. Saperstein "a little help" in the form of an envelope full of money, she is again sickened by his hypocrisy. Promising Saperstein's body that she'll make it right, Harlee goes to Stahl and tells him the truth: Wozniak killed Saperstein. And she's ready to help take him down.
