Everyone is sweltering from the summer heat, and Amy is depressed that she has never had a normal and fun teenage summer. Meanwhile, Ricky plans a trip to the beach with John. But when George calls and wants to spend the day with them, they end up hanging out in George's living room "beach" instead.
Dylan and her friends infiltrate Grant High, pretending to be students so that Dylan can spend time with Ben while he's in summer school. Kathleen registers Jacob for summer classes, but Grace is horrified when her peers learn that Jacob is her half-brother. Adrian has a talk with Jacob because she feels like she could relate to both sides, but Jacob stands his ground.
Lauren tells Madison she forgives her, but they cannot be best friends anymore. Robert visits Leo to tell him Dylan and Ben cannot date. But Leo tells Ben that he has his permission to date Dylan as long as he is responsible for any consequences of their relationship. Ricky cheers Amy up by taking her back to the band camp canteen on a date. George and Kathleen hang out on his fake living room beach.
