When Damon Lake, an international arms dealer, is found not guilty during a slam dunk case for federal prosecutors, the FBI redoubles its efforts to take him down. Lake had essentially murdered his girlfriend, who was also an informant, in front of Don's eyes during an FBI sting and Robin Brooks had run point on the overwhelmingly convincing case for the prosecution, leading both to feel personally responsible for the outcome of the trial. They turn to Charlie for assistance in understanding how a jury could have found Lake innocent, and Charlie's mathematical analysis concludes that jury tampering had led to the verdict. As the team investigates this angle, they discover a disturbingly complex web of murder and corruption that allowed Lake to put a plant on his jury. However, with more help from Charlie, Don and the team are able to pin the activity on Lake and have the not guilty verdict thrown out, leaving Lake to face not only the original murder charge, but additional murder and corruption charges as well.
