RELIGIOUS CONVICTIONS -- A young girl is found dead amongst the hustle and bustle of an ER waiting room. When no one in the ER claims to be with her, Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Curtis (Benjamin Bratt) are called in to determine the identity of the girl and investigate how she managed to get to the waiting room of the ER. As the case starts to unravel, District Attorneys McCoy (Sam Waterston) and Carmichael (Angie Harmon) must fight to uphold the people's right to religious freedom while convincing a jury that strong beliefs in God doesn't exempt anyone from the basic moral code of humanity.
