PAST UNDONE -- While investigating a shooting on the shores of the Hudson River, an NYPD diver fishes up a 1968 Volkswagen bus with a young man's remains, including a skull with a gunshot hole. Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Curtis (Benjamin Bratt) reopen a case that has long been closed and end up investigating controversial university protests from the 1960s. When new evidence and suspects surface, Assistant District Attorneys McCoy (Sam Waterston) and Carmichael (Angie Harmon) realize they strike a sore nerve with the Bureau of Special Services.
