Synopsis

This new crime drama examines those who investigate the crimes (the "Law") and those who prosecute the criminals (the "Order"). When a young girl with bronchitis dies in the hospital during a hectic night shift, the girl's father -- an influential lawyer and hospital board member -- charges criminal neglience. Detective Greevey (George Dzundza) and Detective Logan (Chris Noth) are surprised to discover that the Chief of Medicine may be to blame for the girl's death. However, ADAs Robinette (Richard Brooks) and Stone (Michael Moriarity) have trouble convincing any of the other hospital staffers to testify against their boss.
