Christina gets trapped into working an overnight shift and soon finds herself in the middle of a potential custody battle between a young woman in labor and the two couples who have each been promised to become the adoptive parents. Ray does a favor for Tom by serving as medic for a hockey game, but he's a little unprepared for what he's about to face. Tom, meanwhile, heads out to a black-tie charity event with a date, but his date ends up leaving when Tom once again chooses work over her. And Bobbie finds Isabel on the street and offers to put her up for the night.
