Cold Case Episode 6.14 The Brush Man

In 1967, American society was caught in between an idealistic view of the perfect suburban lifestyle and the harsh changes all Americans were experiencing with the onset of the Vietnam War. When the remains at the bottom of a duck pond in a quiet suburb of Philadelphia are found to be Roy Dunn, a local door-to-door brush salesman that disappeared more than forty years ago, Rush and the team investigate why this seemingly well-liked man ended up dead.

Roy had a way with the local housewives which made him a top salesman but some weren't as fond of how much interest he took in his client's lives. Roy's intentions were always good but a few did not see it that way. Many in this suburban utopia, the team discovered, held dark secrets they feared would come out and shatter the perfect persona they strived to maintain; even Roy had a secret that drove him to this neighborhood with the intention to right the wrong he believed he had done. In the process, he found that once again he needed to step in and help those too weak to help themselves and threatened to expose a secret that would liberate those he was trying to protect; unfortunately his good intentions lead to his murder.
