In this series finale; after being found guilty of raping Mia, Hank waits sentencing. As the judge declares, "Three years…", he passes out. On coming round, he discovers that her sentence ended with the word ‘probation' and, barring some community service and fines, he is free to go. To celebrate the result, he jumps into bed with Abby, his lawyer.

There's a whole lot more celebrating to be done at producer Stu's house, who is throwing a party to celebrate the commencement of shooting Hank's picture, Hank's freedom and Marcy's pregnancy, amongst other things. Hank turns up with Abby as his date; Sasha is there with her new fella, Charlie has brought Peggy, Ben and Karen unexpectedly drop by, and even Eddie Nero comes over to see what he can glean.

At the dinner table, Ben announces he is taking Karen and their daughters on a road trip, news which Eddie takes as his cue to test how placid the waters are between the Hank/Abby and Ben/Karen camps. They fire a few shots at each other, but their battle is soon overshadowed when Peggy is provoked into asking Charlie if he still loves Marcy...all hell breaks loose!
