Mayfair (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) tells Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) that Operation Daylight involved using American citizens' data, illegally collected by the NSA, to "protect" the United States. Initially appalled, Mayfair eventually bought into the program since her unofficial directive was to cut red tape to find "creative" ways to make the data actionable; Saul Guerrero (Lou Diamond Phillips) was her front. Furious, Weller insists that Guerrero's file number was tattooed on Jane's (Jaimie Alexander) body because of Mayfair's lies and deceit. Mayfair confesses her terrible guilt, flashing back to the moment when her lover, Deputy White House Political Director Sofia Varma (Sarita Choudhury), killed herself over Daylight.
One of Jane's tattoos directs the FBI to Brooklyn's 65th precinct, where two cops were just murdered. When video from one of the murdered officers' body cams uncovers a string of corruption, the team discovers that two cops have been extorting large sums of money. The two murdered officers found out about the corruption and were silenced. After a shootout at one of the murdered officers' homes, Weller and Jane kill one of the corrupt cops and injure the other. The precinct's captain accidently tips his hand to Mayfair; he was also involved in the corruption. When he pulls out a gun, she crashes her car, injuring herself to stop him from getting away.
At the end of the day, Jane goes out for drinks with Patterson (Ashley Johnson) and Zapata (Audrey Esparza). After they part ways, Zapata encounters Deputy Director Carter (Michael Gaston). When she tells him she's done selling him intel on Jane, he threatens to turn her in.
