The Bachelorette Episode 9.02 Episode 902

Going Hollywood: Brooks scores the first one-on-one date which happens to be at a bridal salon. There are wedding dresses everywhere. The faux bride and groom have lots of fun playing dress up, but Brooks could see Des is a wedding dress for real one day. They make their way into the hills to hang out under the world famous Hollywood sign. They gaze out over all of L.A. while seated on the letter "L." It's the kind of date you see in the movies. Brooks got the first date of the season and he also scores the first kiss.

Babbling Brooks: Desiree drives down a supposedly closed road to a romantic dinner that's been set up atop a bridge. She talks about how strong the relationship is between her parents. Brooks is a product of divorce. He had a rough time with his dad after the break, but they are a work in progress. Brooks found it easy to open up to Desiree. His willingness to be vulnerable is enough to get him a rose. Des and Brooks are treated to a private concert with Andy Grammer singing his hit song "Keep Your Head Up." When Andy slows it down, Des and Brooks kiss and sway the night away.

That's a Rap: Dan, Juan Pablo, Kasey, Zack K, Will, Brian, Drew, James, Mikey, Zak W, Nick, Michael, Brandon and Ben are picked to go on the group date. They head out to the Malibu Rocky Oaks Winery where they are going to make a rap video with the help of Soulja Boy. The tune is fittingly titled "For the Right Reasons." The guys take turns doing rap bits based on past bachelors. Some are decent, some are awful and Brandon's rap is done pretty much without pants. Desiree gives him props for being a good sport. In other words, he does it for all the right reasons.

Ben There, Done That: Zak W gives Desiree an antique journal that's never been written in with the exception of the inside cover. There's an inscription from a father to his daughter. Desiree is blown away by this thoughtful gift. It gives him a little more depth than just being a shirtless man. As for bachelor Ben, he seems to rubbing some of the other guys the wrong way. The fact that he scores a kiss from Des doesn't make him any more likeable. Mikey confronts Ben who seems to neutralize his housemate's anger nicely... for now.

Eyes Wide Open: Brandon opens up about his difficult childhood and how he practically raised his siblings. Now that he's older, he can't wait to have kids. Desiree can see that this guy has kindness in his heart. But when it comes time to hand out the rose, Desiree gives it to Ben. This disappoints many of the men. Ben knows that he needs to sleep with one eye open.

Road Trip: Bryden scores the second one-on-one date with Des for a road trip along the California coast. They make their way to Ojai for a romantic dinner. Bryden talks about all the injuries he sustained after a bad car accident. He was lucky to survive. It taught him to make the most of every day. Sharing this story means a lot to Des. She gives Bryden a rose just before they spend some time in the hot tub. There's a lot of small talk until Des finally tells Bryden to just kiss her already.

The Cocktail Party: Michael lets Desiree know that he has Type 1 Diabetes. It's a serious discussion that's interrupted when Ben steals the Bachelorette away. This ticks off some of the other guys especially after Michael details how it all went down. Some of the men confront Ben as to why he didn't just walk away since he already has a rose. Michael thinks he's a liar. Mikey's just angry. Again!

The Rose Ceremony: The three Bs of Ben, Bryden and Brooks are safe before the Bachelorette enters the room. Here's a list of all the men who receive roses from Desiree:
