As the gala draws nearer, Sophie buys dresses for the girls while Oleg agrees to take them into Manhattan in his town car. When it breaks down, however, the girls realize that the only way to get there on time is to ride Chestnut into the city. Unfortunately, after arriving at event registration, they learn that Caroline's infamy has gotten their names removed from the guest list. The girls realize that their only chance to share their cupcake with Martha Stewart is to sneak in. After the gala, the girls travel to a nearby prison so that Caroline can see her father one last time before his transfer to North Carolina.
