AceShowbiz - Pop singer Lily Allen has launched legal action against a British newspaper group for publishing unauthorized photographs of her new English country home. The "Smile" hitmaker's lawyers started proceedings against bosses of Associated Newspapers on Monday, November 29 after editors at the Daily Mail's website posted snaps in September, under the headline "Pregnant Lily spends 3 million pounds on stunning Cotswold home".

Allen, who suffered a miscarriage last month, is suing for invasion of privacy and claiming breach of copyright for the images used. A statement from her law firm Atkins Thomson reads, "We have today issued proceedings on behalf of Lily Allen against Associated Newspapers (Daily Mail's parent company) for copyright infringement and breach of confidence. This action is in relation to an article published in the Mail Online on 14 September 2010."

The lawsuit action comes just a day after Allen launched into a foul-mouthed rant on Twitter.com about a Mail on Sunday columnist who alleged the star was planning to marry her boyfriend Sam Cooper next year to help her overcome the loss of her baby.
