AceShowbiz - Rapper Foxy Brown has refused to accept a plea deal over a misdemeanor charge of violating a court order stemming from a 2007 confrontation with a neighbor. The hip-hop star, real name Inga Marchand, was arrested and charged with public lewdness and harassment after a run-in with Arlene Raymond in New York in July.

In September, a grand jury at Brooklyn Criminal Court failed to indict Brown on two felony charges, and three out of four misdemeanors - and she entered a not guilty plea to the remaining charge of criminal contempt. Marchand was offered a plea deal during a court hearing on Tuesday, November 16, but her lawyer, Salvatore Strazullo, refused to accept it.

Brown, who faces up to one year in jail if found guilty of violating the protection order, said after the hearing: "We will fight this." A date for the trial has been set for February 7.
