'Winter's Bone' leads the pack with three noms, facing off 'Blue Valentine' and 'Black Swan' in Best Feature category.

AceShowbiz - "Winter's Bone" and "The Kids Are All Right" have emerged as very early Oscar favorites after landing multiple nominations for the upcoming Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York. The event is considered by many to open the awards season and will be staged on November 29.
Acclaimed movie "Winter's Bone" leads the pack with three nominations for Best Feature, Breakthrough Actor (Jennifer Lawrence) and Best Ensemble Performance, while "The Kids Are All Right" and "Tiny Furniture" both receive two nominations.
A total of 26 films were nominated across six competitive categories for Best Feature, Best Documentary, Breakthrough Director, Breakthrough Actor, Best Ensemble Performance and Best Film Not Playing at a Theater Near You. In addition to the competitive awards, Robert Duvall, Hilary Swank, director Darren Aronofsky, and movie mogul James Schamus will each be presented with a career tribute.
Last year's Best Feature winner, "The Hurt Locker", went on to win the Oscar's Best Picture prize. This year's nominees are "Black Swan", "Blue Valentine", "The Kids Are Alright", "Winter's Bone" and "Let Me In".
The Best Ensemble Performance category will be a battle between Annette Bening and Julianne Moore's film "The Kids Are All Right", "Life During Wartime", "Please Give", "Tiny Furniture" and "Winter's Bone".
