AceShowbiz - Ryan Tedder, the man behind Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" and Beyonce Knowles' "Halo" hits, is set to become a first-time father in August. The singer/songwriter and OneRepublic's frontman has revealed his wife Genevieve is a month away from her due date, and he's very excited. He tells People, "I'm going to be a dad for the first time. I'm extremely excited and looking forward to it. We are having a boy. (Genevieve)'s due in about four weeks."
And Tedder has been busy studying parenting books to prepare him for the impending arrival. He adds, "I've done my homework. So hopefully I can handle it." The star will be able to turn to his bandmates for support and guidance - OneRepublic's lead guitarist Zach Filkins and his wife Lindsay recently became parents to little Leighton Zachary.
Filkins is confident Tedder will be a great dad, saying "It's funny, you never know how you're going to be as a dad until it really happens. But, with Ryan, I feel he has everything it takes to be a great dad. He has nothing to worry about. He's going to be extremely informed."
