The scorching sun at the music and arts festival held in Tennessee has claimed one fan's life on June 13.

AceShowbiz - The soaring temperatures at Tennessee's Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival claimed the life of one music fan on Sunday, June 13 after suffering from heat exhaustion. David Sloan of North Carolina collapsed and died at the age of 29 after revelling at the festival's 700-acre farm in Manchester, according to the local Tullahoma News and Guardian.

Fans at the event - which featured acts including Jay-Z, the Dave Matthews Band, Stevie Wonder and Kings of Leon - sweltered in temperatures around the low to mid-90 degrees Fahrenheit mark to watch their favorite acts. By Saturday afternoon, more than two dozen fans had reportedly been transported to local hospitals for heat-related emergencies and injuries that could not be treated on site.

But the soaring temperatures didn't deter some unruly fans from indulging in their vices - more than 70 Bonnaroo-bound drivers were arrested before the event kicked off on Thursday, as part of a crackdown on drugs by the local sheriff's office, reports WBIR News. An additional 50 people were also reportedly arrested for drug-related charges and disorderly behavior.
