AceShowbiz - Country star Carrie Underwood has launched a relief fund to aid the victims left homeless by the floods in Nashville, Tennessee. The city has been left devastated by severe storms which lashed landmarks and homes earlier this month and the subsequent floods left much of the area underwater, claimed the lives of over 20 people and left thousands homeless.

A host of celebrities have come forward to help raise money for the relief efforts but Underwood has gone one step further by establishing the Temporary Home Fund with the Academy of Country Music's (ACM) Lifting Lives organization.

The generous singer is giving the fund, named after her new song, a big boost - she's using grants she is to receive from the ACM as its current Entertainer of The Year to kickstart the charity. And Underwood has urged her fans to get involved and donate.
