Legal team of Kid Rock insists the singer's 'prior criminal arrest or misdemeanor convictions' will not be mentioned on his ongoing lawsuit for attacking three fans in 2006.

AceShowbiz - Kid Rock is hoping to keep his bad boy reputation out of an ongoing lawsuit - his attorneys have filed papers asking for his "professional persona" and prior convictions not to be used against him in court. The rocker is facing a legal battle with three fans, who allege he assaulted them at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles in 2006.
The lawsuit claims Kid Rock - real name Robert Ritchie - along with six members of hip-hop group the Boo-Yaa Tribe attacked the men after they asked for autographs. Ritchie's legal team filed papers at L.A. County Superior Court on Friday, February 5 asking for the star's "reputation as a 'tough guy' or 'thug' by means of his professional persona as Kid Rock" to be left out of the case.
The documents also state that Ritchie doesn't want his "prior criminal arrest or misdemeanor convictions" to be mentioned, calling them irrelevant and prejudicial, according to TMZ.com.
The singer was handed a community sentence in 2008 after he was convicted of brawling at a waffle house in Georgia in 2007. He was also kicked out of the MTV Video Music Awards in the same year for fighting with Motley Crue star Tommy Lee.
